Civic Courage trains nonprofit organizations to deliver transformational advocacy so that their members can create champions in Congress and the media for their cause.
Sam is the founder of RESULTS and the RESULTS Educational Fund. RESULTS is an international citizen’s lobby dedicated to creating the political will to end hunger and poverty and has a forty-year track record of successfully mobilizing public funding of proven, cost-effective, life-saving programs. RESULTS’ advocacy work is supported by RESULTS Educational Fund’s research, education and community building efforts.
Sam also co-founded the Microcredit Summit Campaign with Nobel peace prize Laureate Muhmammad Yunus and FINCA founder John Hatch. In 2007 the Summit achieved its goal of reaching 100 million of the world’s poorest families, especially the women of those families with microloans and other financial and business services.
